Loose Connections, arguably Oslo’s most international improv troupe, is currently comprised of 9 indiviudals who are more or less loosely connected to a dozen countries of origin. We’ve been performing together in English, since 2017. Our personal inclinations and international composition loosely inspires us to improvise about multicullturalism and the absurd. Loose Connections is still searching for Oslo-based improvisers from Oceania and Antarctica, afterwhich, we expect global domination.
Decent Freaks create two characters that meet at a location or event suggested by the audience. Each of us will decide whether our characters have just met, or whether we know each other, or know about the other character. We then do slow, organic improv in which the two characters establish and explore their (emerging) relationship and personal experiences to create a strong, human connection between the characters and the audience. The connection is sometimes light and playful, sometimes deep and philosophical, sometimes dramatic and emotional, and sometimes all of the above.
