Perform at OIF 2025
Oslo Impro Festival welcomes performers from all around the world. Each day we have several show blocks comprised of 3-4 teams each playing for 20 minutes (special exceptions may apply.) Teams are free to propose their own format or themes, whether comedic or dramatic, short form or long form, as long as it fits within the time frame.
At Impro Neuf we value great impro(v) and seasoned performers, and we love professional-quality shows which push our artform forward. But, we also believe that the spirit and joy of impro is in sharing the stage, and that anyone has access to the stage. We are proud that several teams and players had their debut show right here at Oslo Impro Festival with the positive support from the community.

Performances at Oslo Impro Festival are unpaid. We are a non-profit volunteer community, thus ticket sales will be directed towards covering festival expenses and remaining benefits to show our appreciation to volunteers.
You will get free access to your show, and see the rest of the teams playing in the same show.
We hope to be able to give you a discount code for workshops / shows / festival passes.

Bring positive community vibes - Impro Neuf is our facilitator, and our slogan is: IMPRO NEUF LOVES YOU
Make a safe and playful environment. (Interact with the audience such as bringing on stage only with consent. The stage manager has the final say of what is consent.)
Show up for check-in and finish on time. The stage manager will give a cue and have authority to end the set if going overtime.
Help us with promotion of the festival (i.e. repost on social media/spread the good word!)

We open applications on Monday Jun 2nd 00:01 (Norway / CEST UTC+2). We close applications Sunday Jun 22nd at 23:59. We aim to send out our responses in mid-July. Please remember to check your spam folder.
The selected shows will be based on quality, topic, genre, variety and representation across the world. We do not strictly accept shows based on who has the most experience.
There is a rolling selection. We might accept some shows before the deadline, especially regarding people traveling from far away. Some spots will be held open until the last day, but don't wait until last minute to apply - Your chances might be improved with early submission.

Here’s a list of things you will be asked:
Basic information such as team name and contact information
Number of players expected to join the festival, and their names
Your show blurb (for PR/Marketing) and anything else you want to add (for internal use)
A link to a high resolution pictures in landscape for our PR (upload it somewhere with open access and share us the link)
A link to a video of your performance
Specific show needs
We prioritize more players having one show before giving players their second show. If your team has players who unavoidably overlap in multiple teams, please declare which teams and which members
Happy applications! Thank you for your interest in Oslo Impro Festival 2025.
All the best,
Aree Witoelar and Kristine Sterud,
Artistic Director and Co-artistic Director of OIF 2025
